You will be given the address and some advice on how to get there. This may include details of the nearest bus or train station or the cost of a taxi fare. If you need any additional help, please ask us.
It depends on how far in advance you make the change and how many times you change it. If it is a long time ahead of your collection date then there is usually no charge. However, some companies do charge for changes. We'll let you know what these are when you contact us to make a change.
Be very careful when making a change in date as the flex rate may have changed and by changing the date your rate may increase. Please discuss with us the best way to do this to minimise extra fees.
Flex rates are applied to the daily rental rate and change regularly depending on the availability of the vehicles.
If you book a long time in advance the daily rental rate will be less than if you book a short time ahead of the pick up date.
Flex rates are commonly used by airlines and have been adopted by the campervan and motorhome rental industry to encourage customers to book early.
We collect all the important rental information at the time of booking but to speed your collection up at the depot some additional information may be required so some companies offer online check-in.
Do You Have Any More Advice on Campervan Hire?
Germany is a great starting point for travelling around Europe.
Travelling with friends is a great option but sort out the sleeping arrangements before you book your camper.
Travelling together as a family is great fun but make allowances for those who may need a little space from time to time.
Partners travelling together can share the chores and plan the adventure together. Make sure you have room to take all the stuff you need.
Consider renting two vans if you want to share your holiday with friends or family. This gives you a bit more flexibility on what you do and where you go. You can always meet up again in the evening for a meal under the stars. It offers more privacy at night too.
We suggest having a basic plan but allow time to stay a little longer in some places and divert to others.
We also suggest taking maps and guidebook and to not rely totally on GPS or your mobile phone for directions. By all means use them to compliment the map. You never know if you are going to lose signal or power.
Holidays are enhanced by the gadgets and with modern campers and motorhomes there is the ability to re-charge.
We see more and more Gopros and laptops now than ever before.
E-readers save space and mobile phones help with navigation and researching campsites and things to see.
We recommend taking back up external hard drives to store videos and photos just in case you are not able to upload via Wifi.
We suggest that you take photos of the campervan both inside and outside when you go through the collection process. Do the same at the end of your hire too.
You will sign a form that does highlight and scratches or dents. Make sure that these are all included on this form.
Taking time out to explore a country like Germany is so exciting. You will encounter sites that you never expected to see and enjoy experiences that you didn't know you could.
Campervan holidays offer the ultimate in flexibility to choose where to go and when. Take it slowly and enjoy your holiday.
