How to choose which campervan rental company is right for you:

As you can see, there are 18 different campervan rental companies based in Melbourne. Here's how to choose the right one for your campervan holiday:

You have to have enough seat belts for everyone and you have to have enough beds for everyone to sleep in. Choose the campervan that has enough single and double beds to suit you.

We also list the interiour height of our campervans and motorhomes so if you are travelling with a tall person it will make their holiday more relaxing if they can stand up inside.

Next, decide on if you need to have an onboard shower and toilet. This will narrow your choice. The smaller hitops, low-tops, SUVs and camping cars do not have onboard facilites.

How much is your budget? If you have to stick to a budget then choose the newest camper or motorhome you can afford. Newer campers are more expensive than older campers and book early to get cheaper rates.

Why Book With Budgetcampervans?

Our friendly reservations team are here to help you get the right campervan at the best price for you. As you can see we offer 18 different campervan rental companies in Melbourne and you may need a little help choosing.

We have been helping our customers book campervans in Melbourne for over 20 years - we know who is who and we have made the booking process easy too. We come highly recommended as our customers return year after year and tell their friends.

We also know that visitors to Melbourne live outside of Australia and so our team is available by phone and email 24 hours a day - every day. (except Christmas Day)

There are no hidden charges. You can choose any extras during the booking process.

We also offer a free quote service on as many options as you need.

Why is the age of the campervan always listed?

Age of vehicle is important in Australia because rental vehicles travel big distances. For many of our customers, Australia is a once-in-a-lifetime holiday and this means that a tour of Australia can take weeks covering long distances. Our companies service the camper vans and motorhomes regularly but they have been driven over rough tracks and have collected "bull dust" on the way. Newer campers have less mileage and are in a better condition.

By booking a long time in advance of your holiday you can save a good amount on the rental rates. All of the special offers are automatically included in the booking engine so you don't have to hunt them down.

If you want to take a road trip we can provide the campers. We even offer 4x4 campers in some cities (not Melbourne).

Driving Around Melbourne.

You will be given plenty of advice about the campervan when you reach the depot. Make sure you know where the toll roads are.

Local supermarket directions are usually provided so that you can stock up before you head off. We suggest too that you book into a local campsite for the first night to familiarise yourself with the campervan before you head off.

What is the Best Time Of Year to go to Melbourne?

Melbourne is a great place to visit all year round. Even in winter the temperatures only drop to around 6 degrees. You will always be warm in the campervan.

If you are planning long drives then book in either Spring - September to November or during Autumn from March until May. October can be quite rainy.
