  • Wilpena Pound in the Flinders Ranges - get into the Outback and see South Australia's largest mountain range. Drive for 500kms to experience some of South Australia's most stunning scenary.
  • Arkaroola - the red desert. 600 kms (370 miles) north of Adelaide in the northern Flinders. See mountains, unique geological monuments, gorges, water holes and wilderness. Plenty of indigenous wildlife. You will need a 4x4 to visit the ranges but you can get to the village in a 2wd campervan.
  • Kangaroo Island is only 210kms from Adelaide and is a protected island and home to thousands of kangaroos, koalas, sea lions, penguins. Book the campsites ahead of time. They are in spectacular locations.
  • Lake Bumbunga, Lochiel - you will have seen the amazing photographs of this pink lake is only two hours drive from Adelaide.
  • The Yorke Peninsula - beach camping, bush camping and coast, coast,coast! Drive the Coastal Way. Try your hand at a bit of fishing too. Adelaide to the Yorke Peninsula is nearly 200kms so will take you just over 2 hours to get there and then drive down the south, around the tip and back up the northern side.
