Montreal is a good place to start your journey across the eastern side of Canada. It's not too far from Quebec City in the north and Ottawa to the east. It's also close the the border with the USA and Niagra Falls. Halifax is about a 12 hour drive away to the west if Nova Scotia and New Brunswick are part of your Canada road trip.

Canadream offers "Run of Fleet". You can book and pay for this RV but you won't know which vehicle you will get until you arrive at the depot. This often is a very well priced camper and will suit the number of passengers in your group. So the Run of Fleet vehicle will sleep six of you if there are six in your group.
Cruise Canada is about 25 minutes from the airport and Canadream is 45 minutes. If you are arriving on an international flight you are required to stay in a hotel on the first night. When planning a road trip it is recommended that you travel when the weather is pleasant and not too hot. Plan to travel in Spring - March until May or during the autumn - September until November. If you don't mind the heat, then summer is for you and there are plenty of outside activities to enjoy including the many festivals hosted by Montreal.

Head for the wilds outdoors.Plan your road trip to include the spectacular scenery around Montreal's National Parks. Come prepared to hike or cycle the parks. There is plenty of bookable camp sites for RVs in most of the National Parks close to Montreal.

Yes, most of the road signs in Quebec Province are in French but around Montreal they are in both French and English. Wikipedia has a page giving pictures of current Canada road signs including those in French and other indigenous languages. Quebec's official language is French.
