Which motorhomes are on the CanaDream fleet?

• Truck Campers:

  • Maxi Travel Camper (TCA): This truck camper is perfect for couples with a spirit for adventure. It features a current year Ford truck carrying a deceptively spacious camper. Sleeps 2 adults and a child.

  • Deluxe Van Camper (DVC): This campervan is small enough to fit in a regular parking space.. Sleeps 2. If you're looking for a bit more space, the Deluxe Van Camper could be a good option. They offer a larger living area with a comfortable bed, kitchenette, and bathroom, making them perfect for longer trips.

• Van Campers:

  • Super Van Conversion (SVC): This van camper is perfect for families or groups of friends. It features a queen-size bed in the slide-out, a dinette, and a kitchenette. Sleeps 2 adults and two children.

Class B Camper Vans: A great option for couples is the Class B Camper Van. These are easy to drive and park, making them ideal for exploring cities and towns. They offer a comfortable living space with a bed, kitchenette, and bathroom, all within a compact footprint.

How much does it cost to hire from CanaDream?

The cost of renting an RV from CanaDream varies depending on the type of RV and the length of the rental. Prices start at around $100 CAD per night.

How old do I need to be to hire an RV from CanaDream?

You must be at least 21 years old to hire an RV from Canadream. You need to have a valid driver's licence, and provide a major credit card for payment and security deposit purposes. 

Is there a minimum rental period when you book a CanaDream camper?

Yes, there is a minimum rental period of three nights for campervans from CanaDream, with some exceptions during peak season.

What are CanaDream RV rentals rates based on?

• the type of camper

• the length of your rental

• the time of year you rent

• how far in advance you book your rental.

The earlier you book, the cheaper the daily rental will be. The rates also vary depending on the location where you pick up and drop off your RV.

What are the different factors that affect CanaDream RV rental rates?

• Type of RV: CanaDream offers a variety of campers to choose from, including truck campers and van campers. The type of RV you rent will have a big impact on your rental rate. For example, a truck camper will typically be less expensive to rent than an RV.

• Length of rental: The longer you rent your RV, the more you will pay. CanaDream offers discounts for longer rentals.

• Time of year: CanaDream rates are higher during peak travel times, such as the summer months. If you are able to travel during the off-season, you can save money on your rental rate.

• Location: CanaDream has locations across Canada. The location where you pick up and drop off your RV will also affect your rental rate. For example, renting an RV in Vancouver will be more expensive than renting an RV in Calgary.

• When you book: the earlier you book, the cheaper the daily rate.

In addition to the base rental rate, there are a few other fees that you may need to pay when renting an RV from CanaDream. These fees include:

• Daily kilometres: CanaDream charges a per-kilometre rate for all rentals.  You can pre-purchase mileage for your trip.

• One-way rental fee: If you are picking up your RV in one location and dropping it off in another, CanaDream will charge a one-way rental fee. L

• Early pick-up and late drop-off fees: CanaDream charges a fee for early pick-up and late drop-off.  

• Optional extras: CanaDream offers a variety of optional extras that you can add to your rental, such as linens, kitchenware, and insurance. The cost of these extras is listed when you make a booking or request a quote.

Here are some of the things that are included in your CanaDream rental rate:

• RV: The RV itself, including all the necessary equipment, such as a generator, stove, and refrigerator.

• Insurance: Third-party liability insurance is included in the rental rate. You can also purchase additional insurance, such as collision damage waiver (CDW) and personal effects coverage (PEC).

• 24/7 roadside assistance: CanaDream offers 24/7 roadside assistance in case of a breakdown.

Can I rent a campervan during the winter from Canadream?

Yes, the CanaDream Winter Motorhome (MHA) is the most suitable for winter travel that hasn't been winterized. It is equipped with a number of features that make it ideal for winter travel, including:

• All-wheel drive: The MHA is equipped with all-wheel drive, which provides excellent traction in snow and ice.

• Heated tanks: The MHA has heated tanks for the water, sewage, and fresh water, which prevents them from freezing in cold weather.

• Winter tires: The MHA is equipped with winter tires, which provide better traction in snow and ice than all-season tires.

It is important to note that even the MHA is not completely winterized. It is still important to take precautions when winter camping, such as packing extra blankets and food, and being aware of the weather forecast.

Can I bring my pet with me in the RV rental from Canadream?

Yes, Canadream allows pets in their RV rentals, but there may be additional fees and restrictions.  

Travel in a Canadream camper to Northern Canada, Burning Man, and to the USA

Canadream's Northern Surcharge is an additional fee that applies to rentals that involve travel into or through certain northern regions of Canada. This surcharge is intended to help offset the higher costs associated with providing service and support in these remote areas.  

The Northern Surcharge applies to rentals that involve travel to the following regions - subject to change:

• Yukon Territory

• Northwest Territories

• Nunavut

• Alaska

• Northern British Columbia

• Northern Alberta

• Northern Saskatchewan

• Northern Manitoba

Can I travel to the Burning Man festival with Candaream?

Yes, Canadream does allow vehicles to be taken to the Burning Man festival with an additional fee payable to cover extra costs of cleaning etc. 

Can I travel to the USA with Canadream?

Yes. You are permitted to take the RV into the USA but prior permission must be requested before you set off and additional insurance and fees may apply.
