When is the best time of year to hire a campervan in Broome?

Broome is in tropical Western Australia where there is a wet season between December and March and a dry season. It is advisable not to plan long trips during the wet season as many roads and tracks are flooded and the flash floods are often unexpected and dangerous.

Rent a campervan during the dry season between April/May and October. If you can avoid the school holidays. These are from mid-December until late January. Schools also have a holiday in mid-April, early July and late September. School holidays can be a busy time for campervan hire in Australia.
