Petroni is based at Sesvetski, Kraljevec 15 minutes from Zagreb airport. 4 hours from Split.
Anywhere Campers offer both airport collection and return, as well as downtown collection and return by prior arrangement from all main centres in Croatia.
Indie Campers have its depot in the coastal town of Split. Transfers from Split airport for a fee.
Indie Campers in Croatia have limited and unlimited mileage options. Pet friendly. Free parking at the depot. Uber and taxi services available to and from the airport.
McRent only has one depot in Croatia and that is in Zagreb. It is 25 km from the airport. The depot is closed on Sundays. Choices of vehicles may vary.
Free or wild camping is not permitted in Croatia. There are campsites with powered sites across the country. There is also overnight camping in vineyards and farms. Camp on the coast or in the forest.
Both Split and Dubrovnik have ferry terminals that link Croatia with Italy. You can also travel up and down the coast by ferry.
There are 8 national and 11 nature parks, including the unmissable Krka and Plitvice.
The Croatian coast is hot in summer, with temperatures reaching 30 °C. Inland 26 °C is the high and in the mountainous areas expect a high of 20 °C.
Winter temperatures only reach a high of 10 °C. Inland winter temperatures are around 0 °C. Expect snow. Winter tyres will be required if you are planning a road trip inland. This is mandatory between 15 November and 15 April.
During Spring and Autumn's temperatures are mild with low rainfall.
We recommend a minimum of 10 days to see the highlights in your Croatia camper. There is still plenty to see and do if you have a longer trip. You can visit the Adriatic coast on your motorhome hire in Croatia.
You will spot a lot of wildlife while driving the back roads of Croatia. Try and spot eagles, wolves, foxes, lynxes, wild boar, weasels, wild cats, and bears in the forests, and dolphins on the coast. Wild goats can also be spotted in the mountains.
